Hi chulos!
Since I was a child living in Mexico, browsing furniture shops with my grandmother was one of my favorite pastimes. We’d spend hours feeling textures, imagining color palettes, and pretending to live in every room until she found the perfect addition for our home. She always considered my opinion, and that sparked my lifelong fascination with design and creating a story with a space.
My childhood journals weren’t filled with words but with sketches—floor plans of my grandmother’s house, my mother’s house, and the dream home I imagined, bursting with beautiful objects. Looking back, this is where it all started: my love for creating soulful interiors that tell a story.
Today, as the founder and Principal Designer of De Luz Studio, I design with an undeniable taste for bold, inspiring aesthetics. Raised on the border of Chihuahua and New Mexico and trained at Parsons in New York, my work embraces natural materials and a layered approach to design, blending cultural richness with timeless elegance. I balance textures, colors, and styles to create spaces that inspire and delight—where every piece feels intentional and personal.
At De Luz Studio, design isn’t just about creating beautiful rooms; it’s about crafting aesthetic languages that evoke emotion, foster peace, and celebrate individuality. Let’s write the story of your space, where every detail reflects who you are.
My approach
At De Luz Studio, I take a collaborative and personalized approach to design, helping clients create spaces that reflect their style and needs. Whether it's a one-on-one consultation, a tailored per-room design, or a full-service transformation, I provide expert guidance while allowing flexibility for those who love a hands-on approach. My goal is to make the design process feel approachable and seamless, ensuring each space is both functional and beautifully curated.
Fun Fact
I fell in love with ceramics the first time I got my hands in clay—it was messy, imperfect, and exactly what I didn’t know I needed. My style leans organic, drawn to structural shapes, raw textures, and the beauty of natural stone. Whether it’s sculpting a vase, creating wall art, or experimenting with new forms, I love how ceramics bring an earthy, tactile element into a space
